New Doctor, Dr. Goularte
Last week or so, I was attending an admissions meeting for paperwork and just a refresher on how things would play out on the day I deliver. The lady that I met with informed me that my doctor had quit the Topeka OB/GYN Practice and she was sure I'd have to find a new doctor. I hadn't heard any of this information from my office so I just went on with my business. Right after I left the appointment, my doctor's office called and confirmed the lady's suspicions. I was told I'd have to get a new doctor and reschedule all of my appointments. (I even had my post-op appointments scheduled.)
So, I went to my weekly appointment to meet with my new potential doctor, who was also new to the practice. I was kind of nervous because doctor Edds has followed me through my whole pregnancy and now I had to find a new doctor. He had delivered Jaelyn and I wanted him to deliver Finlee too. I just prayed that she was the doctor I was suppose to have.
Everything went so great! I loved her and I felt comfortable with her delivering my baby. So, I have a new doctor just in time to deliver! The time is approaching fast!

My Core Nurse
The other day my bestfriend, Allison, approached me with a question that I couldn't refuse to say no to. She is a full-time nursing student and very good at what she does. For one of their projects, she is required to find a pregnant mom to follow around during her pregnancy, go to appointments with, and be with her when she delivers. It just so happened that my dates were perfect for when Allison needed me to be pregnant. If that's not a "God-thing", I'm not sure what is. It's actually been quite nice to have someone to go to for support and all of my extra questions.
After that night, I became Allison's "Core-Mom". I couldn't be happier to have such a good friend, full of support, in the operating room with me. She's been my friend since..forever, and I couldn't imagine doing it with anyone but her!

Nerves
Well, the time is getting closer. You'd think I'd be so excited with buying new baby clothes and equipment, preparing to have a baby around again, spending as much time with Jaelyn as I can, and decorating. I am truly excited to have another girl, don't get me wrong, but the nerves are kicking in.
With a due date of March 9th approaching, I'm starting to remember how much work having a baby is. (Although the baby stage is my absolute favorite!) I'm starting to remember the pain, bed rest, and misery. It's a good thing holding a new baby in your arms is such a great feeling. What's also great and comforting, is that I know I can just hand it all over to God and He will take care of all things. It's all up to Him and that's the most comforting thing of all.

Doctor Appointments
I haven't been updating as much as I would like to, so I'm just briefly going to touch base on the latest. Everything with baby pollock #2 is going great! (Besides the fact that I'm growing bigger every second, I constantly have a body part in my ribs, and I'm totally uncomfortable.) She is very healthy and we can't wait to meet her.
I took all of the regular tests you take when you're pregnant and everything is fine. After such a different start to this pregnancy, it's such a huge relief to hear such good news with every passing doctor appointment. Dr. Edds and his staff are awesome people and it's kind of refreshing to see their smiling faces everytime I go in, knowing that I'm in their care. (Especially with an almost 2 year old at home..it's nice break!)
I'm down to weekly appointments after this next one on this coming Friday. Start to pray for a healthy delivery! I go to a meeting on Monday to hopefully schedule/finalize her birthday, since I have to have a C-Section. Be looking for a birthday update soon!

No More Mr. Specialist!
During my last specialist appointment, Dr. Evans was once again impressed. I don't have to go back to him unless things take a turn for the worse in the next month. My titer count has been down to zero and the baby is growing great and is healthy! He was very happy with how everything is going. They even gave me all of the credit, which is sometimes nice, especially when I didn't have any control over anything.
Now most of you would think this is fantastic news. I too, would agree, with a couple exceptions. The staff there was extremely nice and Dr. Evans was definitely one of my favorite doctors. He was just so fun to watch and was very nice! I'm also going to miss seeing my baby on the screen every so often, even if the chair was totally uncomfortable! Although I don't have long to wait to see her again!
Thanks again for all of your prayers!

Finlee Graycen Pollock
Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a name! How come it is that we can always think of boys' names but it's so hard to think of girls names? And of course, we have girls! After much thinking and discussing, we have a name. Our new little baby girl will be named: Finlee Graycen Pollock. Our next doctor appointment, we will schedule her birthday. We are so excited!
Beyond Average
Not too long ago, I recieved a call from my specialist nurse and had the great news delivered to me that my "titer" count was at zero! After that, I had a specialist appointment and my specialist, Dr. Evans, was so amazed with how everything is going. The baby has had no problems yet and he said that the results he had were better than average. She is growing big already and over the average size. Our babies are big girls! While at this appointment, they did a 3-D sonogram and a regular one. It was so cool to see her! (Definitely a girl!) Unfortuanately, Matt had a final this day and couldn't go with me to see it but my bestfriend, Shelbey, did instead! It was definitely something to see and I can't wait for Matt to see it on my next appointment. 3-D sono's let you see a lot. The pictures they gave me don't do justice!
I also had a regular doctor appointment. The tests went well and everything is going great. We are ready for our new baby girl to be here! Jaelyn is also ready to be a big sister!
I have more belly bump pictures and sono's to post. I will get there ASAP.
Thanks for your prayers..keep them up!

5 Month Pregnancy Pictures
Praise the Lord!
I recently recieved a phone call that absolutely elated me! I had gone to the specialist and when I did, I had my routine (not routine for a "normal pregnancy") blood work done to get a blood titer count. (I guess this has to do with the antibody found in my blood..I do NOT want these in my system, or I want a very low number!) I had been praying that the baby was doing good, because when I went to my last sonogram, I felt a "comfort" surround me. The nurse called me back and my blood titer count was at zero! (A very good thing!) I was thrilled to hear that! Please pray that it stays this way so that our baby girl won't be harmed!
Thanks for all of your prayers!
I go back at the beginning of December for another sonogram. More blood work to come before that.

It's A Girl!
Breaking news! We recently went to the doctor and found out our "little boy" is going to be a little girl. Both the nurse and specialist declared they were 90% sure the baby was a girl. I am so glad Jaelyn is going to be a big sister to a little sister! We are thrilled!
Also, my appointment on 10-29-2008 went very well. The baby is growing great and is currently at 14 oz.-almost a pound! She was throwing her arms everywhere. It was such a joy to watch her! It's nice having all these extra sonograms this pregnancy so I can keep up on her. I will upload these sonogram pictures as soon as I can!

Sonogram Pictures
I had my first Ultrasound on September 15th. At this time the baby weighed 4 oz. My scanner is broken so I took a picture of it for all to see. Sorry it isn't the clearest. Enjoy!
The first picture is the profile. The second is it's face, I believe. And the 3rd is his feet, trying to show it's a boy.
Proof of Pregnancy
Appointments
I am so far behind on blogging that I decided I would wrap my last 3 appointments or so into one and try to keep you updated! I had my second appointment and everything is going well. The babies heartbeat is normal and my tummy is growing fine!
I also went to my first specialist appointment and the doctor is awesome! He has informed me of so much and has made me feel very comfortable with the situation. I had my first sonogram and the baby was sucking away! He, yes, he..is growing fine. They explained to me about the situation and how they monitor the baby's blood (to make sure he is still doing ok) through a blood vessel in his head or through my blood. He was too small to measure it as of now but the doctor assured me for the time-being that he was just dandy and enjoying his life in the womb. We decided to find out the sex of the baby and the woman told us she was 60% sure it was a boy! We are thrilled. (I know it's only a 10% raise from 50%-but it's still a raise!)
I went to my 3rd appointment not too long ago and they ordered more blood work. My nurse called to inform me that this blood work also came back good. I am still growing fine and the baby's heartbeat was good as well. (152)
I know it's not much of an update. Really, just to tell all that everything is going great! Thanks for all of your prayers and keep them coming.
I go back to the doctor on the 15th of October and the specialist on the 29th of October for another Ultrasound!

First Appointment
On August 12th, I had my first appointment. My doctor wanted to see me when I was offically 10 weeks along. The first appointment is always dreaded because of all the girlie test stuff that has to be done! Not to mention, more blood work. I got a call back today, August 18th, with some not so good news. As they were testing my blood, they found positive anitbodies in it. Nothing to worry about yet, until more tests are performed. The doctor said not to worry until we find out more information! She explained my blood and the growing baby's blood are clashing. Yes, very weird. She also proceeded to make an appointment for me to see a specialist and get more tests done, such as a titer. As she hung up the phone, I was more confused then I was when she first called. So, I dragged out my What To Expect When Your Expecting book and looked up "titer". It mentioned rubella antibody levels and how they will just keep a close watch on my as I progress so the baby isn't harmed. I'll leave you all with this information and be sure to post more after my 2nd appointment on August 26th. And, as I meet with the specialist on September 15th.
